Chapter 2. Description of the product Buttons are located on the front side of the voice recorder. Other important parts are located on the left and right side. On the front side you can find 9 buttons. The central button is more embedded than the others. This button is called play. Around this button you can find the arrow cross with up, down, left and right directions. The top right button which has different shape than the other buttons is a recording button. In this user manual we call it R button. The bottom right button is called menu or shortly just M button. Main function of this button is to open the main menu. The bottom left button is the stop button, used for ending the recording or playback. Top left button is called index and is mainly used for making bookmarks. On the right side of the voice recorder, there are two small holes. The top one is used for connecting external microphone, line-in cable or footswitch. The bottom hole works as an earphone socket. Under these two holes you can find a slide switch for changing the microphone characteristics with two positions – meeting or interview. On the left side there are two rubber covering lids. The top one is covering the USB port, the bottom one is covering the SD card slot. Under those two lids there is a slide switch used for locking all buttons. The upper position means the voice recorder is free for operating, the bottom position deactivates all buttons. The end of the chapter.
