Chapter 5. Firmware upgrade.
Before using this voice recorder, it is recommended to check for firmware updates. The latest firmware can be downloaded from the internet address H E L P dot T A L K I N G dash R E C O R D E R dot C O M. After downloading the ZIP file to your computer and extract a firmware file with B I N extension.
Warning: Before you start the firmware upgrade operation, check if batteries are fully charged. The power blackout during the operation, can damage the voice recorder.
Now you can connect the voice recorder with the computer. Use the U S B cable which is included in accessories box. Connect one end the computer and another to the voice recorder. The U S B socket is located on the left side and covered by the rubber cover. 
After connecting with the computer wait a moment to finish the installation. After that the mass storage drive message occures. Now you can copy the firmware file (with B I N extension) directly to the root directory of this new drive which appeared in My computer folder.
When the process is finished, cancel the connection with computer using the option for secure hardware disconnection. This function can be activated from the task bar of the Windows operating system. After getting information that you can securely disconnect the device, unplug the U S B cable from PC.
The voice recorder automatically switches to the main mode. Now you can open the main menu using the long press of M button, select settings, more, firmware upgrade and confirm it. The firmware upgrade process begins. After the operation is finished, it beeps and turns off automatically. Turn it on again using long press of play button, open the menu using long press of M button and select settings, more, and set defaults. Confirm this selection.
