Chapter 11. Recording settings. Enter the main menu, choose settings and then recording settings. Chapter 11.1 Recording quality. This voice recorder allows to record in various formats and quality levels. Please choose the optimal option for your needs. Chapter 11.2 Audio input If there is an external audio source connected to the voice recorder, please choose between microphone or sound source from another audio player. Chapter 11.3 Microphone sensitivity For recording in various places with different sound environment, you can set the sensitivity of the microphone, to make the perfect recording. The high sensitivity is recommended for silent performances. The low sensitivity is recommended for high volume concerts and similar events. Chapter 11.4 Recording activated by voice To save the memory and create more compact recordings it is possible to activate the automatic recording driven by the sound intensity. If this option is activated, the voice recorder pauses recording every time when there is no input sound detected. Chapter 11.5 Hidden recording After activating this function, the voice recorder starts recording but looks like it is not working. The indication of recording is hidden and the recorded files are being saved into the special folder for hidden recordings. Chapter 11.6 Timer recording You can configure up to 5 recording programs which starts at the preset time. It can start recording from microphone, external audio source, or FM Tuner. Use arrow buttons to set the timer and confirm by short press of play button. Recording from the FM radio can only be set, if some radio channels are already tuned. Chapter 11.7 Automatically divide long files. Recording of longer files can be automatically divided into shorter parts using this setting. Choose this option to make the recording more secure and to get easier operation with long recording files. Chapter 11.8 Edit Use this setting to configure behaviour of the R button in pause playback mode. You can choose between append or rewrite. Choose append to add new recording to the end of actually selected recording or choose rewrite to start new recording at last selected position and rewrite the rest of the file. Chapter 11.9 Automatic gain control Disable this function to deactivate the gain control which prevents the sound distortion while recording at high volume. This option is recomended only to experienced users and may cause sound distortion. Chapter 11.10 Pause indicator For recording with earphones connected you can set this option to on and check if the voice recorder is in recording or pause mode. The recording mode is indicated by hearing aid activated, which means that you can listen the microphone sound in earphones. The pause mode is indicated by the silence. The end of the chapter.
