Chapter 4. First steps
For turning on the voice recorder, just press and hold the play button. If it does not start, please check if fully charged batteries are inserted. For changing the battery please follow these instructions.
On the back side, approximately 1.5 centimeters under the hole you can find a rugged surface. This is a sign of the arrow showing the direction for opening the battery cover lid. Press the lid just half a centimeter above this sign and slide your finger down. If this does not work and the lid does not open, please try to press more exactly on the position where you can feel a horizontal line.
After removing the lid, please take the first battery and check that the possitive end, which is the side with significant protrusion is directed to the top side. Insert this battery to the left half of the battery container (with the spring on the bottom side). The second battery is ready to be inserted in the right half of the battery container oriented bottom up. This means an invert direction than the first battery.
Return back the battery covering lid just by laying it on the body of the voice recorder and moving it up by using the smooth press of the finger.
Find the set of buttons, which are located on the front side of the voice recorder, press and hold the play button. Voice recorder will announce the operation by the welcome message. Use the long press of the play button to turn off the voice recorder at any time.
If this is the first time you are turning on your voice recorder, it automatically shows the time and date settings. For more informations, please go to chapter number 16.
After replacing the batteries, it is recommended to set its type. Please enter the main menu by long press of M button. Choose Settings, more settings, batteries. Here you can set the currently used type of batteries, for non-rechargable, please set alkaline, for rechargable batteries, set rechargable.
